[By now, Bailey is used to spending the full moon with Red nowhere to be seen. He's not sure what the vampire does and they don't plan to pry - if Red wants to tell them, he will. It's just one of those things that he keeps close to his chest, and they're not so bothered by it to be upset.

Still, once the sun rises and they feel like themself again, they're barging into Red's home. Well, okay, they're there often enough they get let in without needing to say anything, but they still make a beeline right to Red's room and collapse onto his bed. They're still tired after running around during the full moon, but more than that they want to see him.]

Red. Are you awake?

[As if he could have slept through the abrupt appearance of the faun...]

[Full moons haven't grown any easier even with Red Wine's slow acceptance of many other unavoidable aspects of his vampirism. He spends the few days beforehand becoming increasingly more agitated and waspish, then disappears for the entire night the full moon is up.

When Bailey makes their entrance into his room he isn't quite asleep, though he is on his way to it. A few scrapes across the ashen skin of his shoulders are the only indication of the kind of night he had.]

No. [He mumbles, and without lifting his head up off the pillows he reaches out a grasping hand towards the sound of Bailey's voice.]

[They frown at the scratches, sighing softly. A bad night, huh... It makes them even more glad they came over, as they catch his hand as his reaches for him.]

You were awake enough to answer me.

[They scoot closer, draping their free arm over him. They’re half tempted to just... Lay on him and hold him close, but they push that urge aside for now.]

Mnh. [The vampire delivers the most eloquent response possible, curling his fingers around Bailey's as soon as they make contact. Truth be told he doesn't remember much of the night - he still resists the transformation enough that it almost entirely overwhelms him - but he'd woken up bloody and had to fight his way through some brambles to get back.

All in all, not really his best night.

The warmth of the arm across him seeps into his skin and he responds to it instantly, turning his body towards Bailey's and curling against their chest.]

Hmn. [He murmurs then. That's nice.]

[He’s kind of adorable like this, and it eases their worries little by little. They move their hand to play with his hair, laughing softly.]

You’re really tired, huh?

[They press a kiss to his head, before settling back down and holding him close.]

Get some sleep, Red. I’ll be here when you wake up.

No, not at all. [Red Wine mumbles against the curve of Bailey's throat, giving a gentle nuzzle to the pulse jumping just under their skin. He smiles to himself but doesn't bite - not even a little nibble - and stretches himself out against the length of their body like a snake taking in heat from a sun lamp.

And then he quiets for a while, but the tell-tale sign of his wakefulness is in the steady movement of his chest. He doesn't doze off, just enjoys the contact.]

How was your night?

Well, suit yourself.

[They keep playing with his hair while he stretches, looking hopelessly fond. They... Enjoy these quiet moments with Red, being able to see him look so soft and sweet.

They never would have expected they'd be lucky enough to be here with him, like this.]

It was alright. The city looks pretty different when you're a sheep. Everything seems so much taller!

[It was a strange path that brought them both to this point, but Red Wine doesn't think that he would change it. In a place like this one, where everything is still sometimes so strange and frightening, and when he spends so much time fighting with himself and the things happening to his body, he didn't need to add more conflict.

He chuckles softly against the faun's shoulder.]

I'll bet you make a cute sheep.

[Is he trying to be embarrassing? Yes, he absolutely is.]
